According to EW, actor Dolph Lundgren has joined the cast to play as Kovar, a Russian Big Bad, in Arrow‘s Fifth season. Lundgren will star as a recurring role.
Kovar, a super big badass guy who works for the Russian government, and is not a friend of Oliver or the Bratva.
“In our flashbacks, which are set in Russia this season, we are going to be bringing in Dolph Lundgren as a Big Bad,” showrunner Wendy Mericle said. “He is somebody we heard about in season 4. It’s part of Oliver’s promise to Taiana at the end of the season and it’s going to be interesting, because it’s going to get complicated and very messed up very fast.”
Dolph Lundgren is known for his roles in ‘The Expendables’ and ‘Rocky IV’.
Arrow is set to return on Wednesday, October 5 at 08:00 PM on The CW.
