Marvel Television has announced, at New York Comic Con, that Dominic Cooper and Bridget Regan will return for season two of Marvel’s Agent Carter, coming back in January 2016 on ABC Television.
Since season one, fan-favorite Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) has moved to Los Angeles to open his own film studio and has brought Jarvis (James D’Arcy)with him to help manage his Hollywood estate.
“Dominic has been a fantastic addition to the cast,” said Marvel’s Head of Television, Jeph Loeb. “Bringing a character like Howard Stark to Hollywood just opens up so many fun opportunities for the series this season.”
Also, Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan) will be back in action after her epic fight with Peggy at the end of last season and will go head-to-head with Peggy Carter once more.
“Dottie is a true match for Peggy and Bridget plays this duplicitous role so compellingly,” said Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb.
Marvel’s Agent Carter returns for a second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable secret agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home–and perhaps even a new love–she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.
Marvel’s Agent Carter stars Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter, James D’Arcy as Edwin Jarvis, Chad Michael Murray as Agent Jack Thompson and Enver Gjokaj as Chief Daniel Sousa.
Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, Chris Dingess, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Joe Quesada, Stan Lee and Jeph Loeb are executive producers. Marvel’s Agent Carter is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.
